I'm sure you're probably thinking, "Well, this is the first post in a while that doesn't include skinny jeans!" At least, that's what I was thinking. It was time to switch it up a bit and try more fun ways to dress for fall than just the usual jeans, shirt, and blanket scarf...errr...scratch that last one, lol. I was able to find a cute, but simple, swing dress (and in my favorite fall color!) and started from there.
I wore this outfit during our trip to the Annual Carolina Balloon Fest this past weekend. It was a very pretty day---not too hot and not too cold, though once the sun went down it probably dropped like 20 degrees instantly. I kept cozy in my denim jacket and fringe aztec scarf (only $24!) through out the day and early evening as we waited to see the hot air balloons take off! If you haven't been, definitely plan a trip for it next year. The balloon take off is a little unpredictable, due to weather restrictions, but thankfully they had a few things to do to take the edge off while waiting...like wine/beer tastings, little shops, and funnel cake!
